Querying Smarter

Many commands in VidCAD offer a Query option to allow you to select a group of equipment or cables including Equipment Recall, Cable Edit, Equipment Delete, Interconnect etc. Most users know that you can type information in the query field to narrow down your search but that search is only “from start” which means it looks only at the beginning of the name.

In the example below you will see how you can enter a search wildcard in the query window to enhance your search in Equipment Recall.

In this project we have selected, Equipment Recall and you will see there are almost 3000 pieces of equipment.
